John Ball Zoo is the fourth most attended cultural attraction in the state of Michigan!  We serve 530,000 moms, dads, kids and grandrparents each year. They visit an average of two times per year and their stay is about 3 hours. Our typical guests are moms and grandmothers between the ages of 26 and 54 years old.  We have over 10,000 John Ball Zoo members. John Ball Zoo offers over 1,300 animals and the most interactive experiences and hands-on animal encounters in a Zoo in the state. CONNECTING KIDS WITH ANIMALS

ANIMALS – Budgie Aviary, Turtles, Frogs, Butterfly and Wallaby exhibits get kids up-close to animals. 


PREMIER EVENTS & ATTRACTIONS

ROCK, ROAR & POUR – This new adult fundraising event takes place three times over the summer. It features beer and wine, live music, and the animals.

RENDEZOO – Our largest fundraising event has been dubbed the area’s “best fundraiser party in town”. Strolling supper, bar, live music, silent auction and animal demonstrations.

REALM OF FLIGHT BIRD SHOW – The Zoo’s premier experience features open air, free-flight bird performances throughout the day.


EVENTS

ZOOBILEE – Spring break event offers special animal demonstrations & kid-friendly activities.

PARTY FOR THE PLANET – This national Earth Day event is celebrated at zoos around the country.

ZOO GOES BOO – Six day Halloween themed event that includes trick-or-treating, costumes, entertainment and more.

CHRISTMAS FOR THE ANIMALS – Features Santa and his reindeer and special animal demonstrations.
