Winter Break Camp

Get the VIP pass to John Ball Zoo this winter. This is your opportunity to see what all the critters are up to during the cold and snowy months. Enjoy all the fun of camp, and maybe even see the otters sliding on the ice and tigers romping in the snow!

Winter Break Camp 2017

Full Day Camps - 9am-4pm - $50/Member/Day  $55/Non-Member/Day    Price is per day, sign up for 1 day or all 6.
Students in Kindergarten through 5th grade are eligible. Two classes of 16 students each day will meet. Classes will be divided by grade; Kindergarten - 2nd grade, and 3rd - 5th grade. Lunches are not offered during winter break camp, sack lunch is required. Snacks and drinks will be provided. 

Wednesday, December 27, 2017 - Migrators - A great way to avoid the cold is to fly south for the winter! Find out why animals head south, or maybe even north, for the winter and how they survive the long trip. 

Thursday, December 28, 2017 - Animal New Years! Help us ring in the New Year with the animals. You'll prepare toys and treats for our animals to help them celebrate. They won't believe their eyes when they see what you've made! 

Wednesday, January 3, 2018 - Winter Habitats - Finding food, water, and shelter can be tough work in the snow. Discover which animals are at home in winter habitats, and see if you have what it takes to thrive in the winter months! 

Thursday, January 4, 2018 - How to Train Your Tiger - Training your tiger is a lot like training your dog...except they are much more dangerous! Join us to learn how zookeepers train animals at the zoo - from turtles to tigers. 

Friday, January 5, 2018 - Winter Playground - Animals love to play! Just like kids, they'll do flips in the water, climb trees, and even play games with each other. Join us as we explore the jungle gyms of the animal world and discover how playing helps animals survive in the wild!
