Western Valley Pathway Matching Gift Challenge
Thank you so much for your support of the Zoo’s Western Valley Pathway. This effort has been a tremendous success! Because of you, we were able to meet and even exceed the matching gift challenge so generously offered by the Michigan Council for Arts and Cultural Affairs. We have raised a total of $300,000 for this project! This is enough to fully fund this crucial effort. Shovels are in the ground and construction is underway!
Our Zoo is built on a hill, and while this makes it beautiful and unique, it also presents some challenges for those in wheelchairs, for anyone with trouble walking, just pushing a stroller or visiting with small children. But because of donors and members like you, who have helped build the Waterfall Trail to the upper Forest Realm and now the new Western Valley Pathway, we are compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act. Thank you for helping everyone to easily access the Zoo and fully experience it!
